Default Cats?

I hate to bring this subject up again, however, I am getting ready to order CATS for a LT1 A4 that will have EM LT headers. I received some excellent input on this thread. I really love the way those exhaust system look, thanks for the pictures guys!

I just have a couple of questions:
1. Are the Dynatech Cats worth the premium over Magnaflows?
2. For those that have done LTs and CATs what are the part numbers of the CATs that you have used?

I know that a stock engine does not need long tube headers, but I have plans for a cam, bigger roller rockers 1.6 or 1.7 and heads.
I have not decided on porting my LT1 heads or getting the stage III LT4 conversion from Scoggins but that decision will be made later on this summer.

I really appreciate all those that responded to my last thread, I am finally back in town and want to get my exhaust project finished. My problem is that this is my every day transportation so I need to have all of my ducks in one row prior to taking the car down, so that I don't have to walk to work.

Thanks

Mike

Dynatechs worth a premium over Magnaflows? How much are the magnaflows..

I paid $150 each for my Dynatech cats from Jegs

I wanted to be sure that these would fit side by side in the tunnel and I kenw the Random Techs would work, but at the time I opted for the Dynatechs.

Not sure if the Magnaflows will fit in the tunnel side by side

Thanks for the quick response.
The magnaflows are about 60 bucks however, low price is not always a bargain.

Get the Dynatech CATs, they have a metallic core that will far outflow the Magnaflow CATs. The Magnaflows have a ceramic core which will not flow near as much as the Dynatechs and they will also run considerably hotter than the Dyantechs as well.

Thanks TJ. Cooler running Cats when they are located near fiberglass is a good thing.
