Cool Tool!
I am working on a customers 92 roadster this week... he needed a lot of things fixed, mostly, leaks - transmission input/output shaft seals, rear main, ujoints, things like that.
However, I had to R&R the 700R4 this week. Last weekend, I bought the cheapo Harbor Freight sissprs style tranny jack. It is cool. I was able to reinstall the tranny in about 40 minutes, by myself!
I would be quicker knowing how to better use the jack, but all in all, it's a great deal!

If you wait, it goes on sale for $49.99.
I glued some antiskid material to the plate. Works great!
I give this tool
outta 5!

Bought one of those at the last sale a few months ago...when the trans on the wife's Formula blew....very nice little jack, especially for the price.

How high does this jack get at full extension, I have a lift in my garage and if it can get about 5 feet it would be great.

Those scissors tranny jacks are a godsend! I bought one years ago when I was racing alot. Made the couple tranny swaps much more tolerable.

When I was a virile young stud, I did many tranny installs with lifting it from my chest. Those days are long past....

Me too. I received a lifetime slightly crooked fingernail when I got it mashed between the transmission and frame. Major Owee!
That is when I decided I really needed to get an education and work at a desk. Damned finger still hurts periodically.

any dents in your forehead? we had a mechanic 2 years ago loose 3 fingers when the jack blew while he was swapping out a semi tranny. it looks like this jack is built fairly solid..

I can remember laying on a cold cement floor pulling M21's and 22's on by laying it on my chest them moving to the floor.
Those days are long over, the best thing I ever did was put a lift in my garage, it sure makes working on the cars and trucks much easier.
I am looking for a trans jack, but this one is too short. However, it looks like a good tool.

They make tranny jacks for installing on lifts. I've used them but have no idea what they'd cost.

Anything that dosen`t kill you, will damn sure light you up & make your life exciting for a minute or two. Like what happned to you, or slamming the car door with your finger in the jam, like what happend to me
