Dana 44 Question

My 96' has 32K Mi. on it Should I change the Rear end oil and also I don't believe there's a drain plug probably like my 84's dana 36.

Could suck it out??

Suggestions?

I was able to suck it out with the cheapo fluid pump, by sticking the sucker end in there.

and.... what drain plug? Have any pics?

had to have been aftermarket install. Dana never installed them from the factory.

Last year when I put my new Rear in I had the shop drill & tap the bottom for a 1/4" npt. drain plug.You can install one without removing the unit. E-Mail me for details.

I did the same with my 44 before installing it and also did the 36 that I removed before sending it to it's new owner. It's all about knowing where to drill. I've got the measurements for the 44 too. I forgot to record them for the 36 though.
