I take some pics before I am tearing it down. I have post some pics before but they were not complete. For those of you wanna see the complete rear mount turbo C4. The Water to Air intercooler is underneat the car I cannot take any pics without jacking the car up. And the water tank chill by the A/C system is also hidden behind the passenger seat where the old compartment were.
ps. The big long chrome 5" pipe is a home build muffler, it has baffle in side but it is still pretty darn loud. It does sound good though
is this on a vert? if so were you at NYIRP for spring warmup this year? and if so, i remember this car...god damn...sick sick sick...too bad it's coming apart...
i was the black 1984 crossfire...i had my friend with me that day...we were both blown away with your setup...it is truly saddening to see it come apart...best of luck though!
Geeez, it's projects like these that remind me that anything is possible when it comes to tinkering with a car's performance. Like another in this thread stated, it's a shame that this has to come apart. I can't even contemplate the coolness factor of a homemade turbo setup, it still boggles my mind and the fact that it's a rear mount takes it a step further. I wish I had that kind of setup. Everytime I got out the car I'd walk to the back, crouch down to take a look and just smile.

I decided to keep it and worked out the bugs. Now it run awsome. 3rd gear and 4th gear will push you to the back seat with only 6psi because the the 50s injector is already maxed out. As soon we hook up the the secondary fuel injector. We will set it at 14psi for the street and 24psi for the track.
if you look closely from the above pics. The 3" red pipe is going down near the header. We have to modify the the a/c box in there to get clearance for the 3' pipe. Also we had to hammer a portion of the pipe to a oval for clearance as well.
it runs in the same manner your stock exhaust did, 3" hot downthe left with the y pipe in front of the oil pan. The return is 3" down the right, a 6x10"Pwr water air intercooler where the pass side cat used to be, and as bruce mentioned a custom a/c box cover with a oval pipe sneaking up along side. Iat's are rarely over 115deg F even on the hottest days.
A custom parallel evaporator (Kind of like a dual evap suburban)setup chills a 3 gallon tank of water for the intercooler.
