Code 14, finally fixed
After following all the troubleshooting procedures from my Helms manual I finally got it fixed. Code 14 was intermittant but caused a variety of problems (improper fuel mixture, cooling fan on all the time, etc.). All indications pointed to a faulty ECM even though it ran well. Borrowed a known working ECM from my buddy's 86 and no more codes. A quick trip to the local NAPA, $88.50 less in my pocket and I'm running strong again.
