Has anyone had a comp cam's roller lifter not pump up on new install?
I installed new roller lifters from Comp Cam's 10 pumped up ok and 6 did not .
Lt4 motor with AFR 220 heads and T&D shaft rockers.
Pumped up lifters with drill motor and turned motor over 90 degrees, while performing adjustment to 0 lash.
The rollers have the single clip.
When pumped up and lash set lifters bleed down to nothing, spring seems to be intact when pushed in by hand.
I have not taken apart the lifter to see if spring is broken.
I can't believe 6 springs on new rollers are bad.
I had the same problem with one of my lifters not pumping up after a new install and I let the engine idle for 2 to 3 minutes and then I zinged it a few times and gave up and pulled out the lifter. The new lifter I put in also did not pump up and I lost my cool and held the engine at 3000 RPM for 15 or 20 seconds and all of a sudden it pumped up and has worked fine ever since.
They set in oil for about 3 day's
I don't think I am willing to hammer the motor yet.
I may have to change up and redo the motor to a cam that may not have the problems this on seams to be leading to .
I don't like Isky but the Morles lifters are looking good at this point!
