i am guessing its a hot cam casue it seems to be the only gm cam that is made for an lt1/4 engine with a long dowel pin.

I got a GM847 direct from GM and it had a long pin in it as well. It could be a new stock cam that was removed for a hot cam replacement.

A google search gets me an FM13 cam used in an LS1 with specs (.230/.232 .595/.585 112) and made by Futral.

I went through this with a Hot Cam I bought last year.

The 586 indicates that it is a GM Hot Cam. It may or may not have a stripe of any specific color. The rest of the numbers pertain to Lot ID, etc.

Specs are...
218/228 @ .050
.525/.525 lift with 1.6 ratio rockers.
112 * LSA

i feel dumb now for asking that question cause i just realized why they call the 847's, 846's, etc. the 586 is the last three digits of the hotcam part number. i didn't even think to match them up. thanks for the help. i got to find an engine to put it in now.
