Default l98 engine bay cleanup extras

I have finally got around to cleaning up the engine bay while putting in some ported intake stuff with help i should add. the main thing is the air pump what happens if i just plug the pump. also what happens to the plastic box with the 2 sensors if i do that? will this mess stuff up also plugging egr cuz my new headers which arent here yet dont have the hookups. i will be glad for basic advice to get that crap out of the way

You can clean out all of that stuff, plug the pipes, cap the exhaust and clean out that engine bay. I have a doc from some friends here if your interested, just email me and i'll be glad to supply.

You might also want to consider taking the air pump off and 'gutting it' if your going to plug the piping. Doing that will make sure your air pump spins quietly for good (that is also a good time to regrease the pump)- in effect you'd be creating an 'air pump eliminator bracket,' since it would be performing the same function.

On a MAF car, one breather gives you a vacuum leak. Two breathers gives you no crankcase vacuum and poor ring sealing, more blowby, and less power.

done putting everything back together minus the air pump stuff . just hoping i have all the important vac. lines connected and all of the ones i needed to block off blocked off.
