what year LS1
I have a LS1 motor that I want to put in my 90 vett. Can anyone tell what year car this engine came in or what year it was made. On the back of the block near the bell housing on the right side it has the following engraved 9802510:112 and on the other side it has the number 12550592 m cast in the alluminum. thank you if you can help.

not true.. there are alot of differences in the different year LS1's.. different computers, intakes, heads, cam, etc.
the 01+ are the best. LS6 even better.
It took a airlid + catback + tune for my 00 to catch up to what my 01 did completely bone stock

Fuel pressure
What I am worried about is there was a fuel pressur3 change from 98 to 99 I believe.
