Who has run electric water pumps or is currently running them especially on a tpi? Do you like them and how hard is it to wire up? and how do you run the belts around it?

The year of the car would be very helpful. Your profile say '89 so I can assume that's the car you intended. Wiring is very easy and the list of benefits is fairly impressive. The major drawback for the '89 is that you do have to do something with the belt routing, something I'm afraid I can't help you with. I think you'll find most people with electric water pumps do them on the LT1 becaue it lends itself to it perfectly, no belt re-routing.

The wiring is not difficult but needs to be done correctly to insure reliability. After all, your engine cooling, and so your engine itself depends on it. Make sure and use a top quality relay plug (and relay) as well. Also, all connections should be soldered, or professional quality connectors should be used. Use shrink wrap to seal all connections, too.
Like Nathan, I cannot advise you on the belt issue, I also have an LT1. I've been using my HD Meziere for 20K miles now and it's been bullet-proof.
