95 with interior light problems....help!
My interior lights will not come on when the doors unlock or I open them, except for the hatch lights. The interior lights will come on if I turn the lights on, and the rear view mirror light will come on when I turn it's switch on, but the little "slit" light that shins down on the gear shift from the mirror doesn't come on at all.
What can I check?

No other problems. I had it in the shop and they did adjust the window on the drivers door. I pushed on the door switches and nothing happens, but the light dosn't come on when the doors unlock with the key fob either, so could it be the switches?

Does opening the passenger door make things work -- e.g. key on, then off, then open passenger door, do interior lights go on (at night) and radio/clock ilumination go off.?
If so, try pushing in the driver's door switch after key on/off and see if same results.
If the results are not same as passenger side, then either the driver's door switch is bad, or during the window adjustment, they disconnected or broke the door switch wire.
FYI, the door switch can be replaced right through its hole, so no need to take the door apart -- see FSM/Helm manual for procedure).
FYI, our 94 LT1 Coupe had both door switches bad when we acquired it 2 years ago, so they do go bad (perhaps especially if the outer door seal was shot as ours were), and the GM vendor making the new ones suck, so watch out for mis-assembled and/or sticky new ones.
Hope this helps...

I tried opening both doors, and pushing both switches, but nothing comes on or goes off. Everything works when the light switch is on, except the little angled rectangular light that shines down from the mirror. If one switch was bad, would it make it not work regardless of which door is opened?

Open the passenger side door.
Remove the fuse panel cover on the end of the dash.
Most likely the RH CTSY Fuse 36 (5 amp fuse) is blown.
If it is, they probably didn't disconnect the battery when they worked on the driver side door.

The CCM turns on the Courtesy Lamp Relay which turns on the interior lights when the doors are opened.
Here's how to test the Courtesy Lamp Relay.
With a piece of wire, short pin Pin 4 to Pin 12
Connector above driver side knee looks like this.
[01|02|03|04|05|06|07|08]
[09|10|11|12|13|14|15|16]
Turn ignition to run (don't start the engine)
Look at the LCD in the dash cluster.
It will cycle through the different modules and then stop.
1.0 is the CCM
4.0 is the PCM
9.0 is the ABS
A is the air bag system
The display will stop with 1.0 showing.
Press the TRIP/ODO button until 1.4 is displayed.
Then keep pressing ENG/MET button until 10 is displayed in the first two digits of the odometer.
If you pass 10, you can go backwards by pressing the FUEL INFO button.
The Courtesy Lamp relay should cycle the interior lights on and off every 3 seconds.

If you're positive you did the procedure properly, did you hear the relay clicking?
To gain access to the relay.
Remove the black plastic panel above the passenger side foot well.
I'm not positive on your 95 but I think there are two or three bolts holding up the bottom of the black plastic panel and two on the side.
Remove the bottom bolts.
Remove the fuse panel cover.
Remove the 3 bolts holding the fuse panel cover plastic frame to the end of the dash.
One of the bolts is hard to remove because it is recessed and you need a thinwall nut driver.
Pull the edge of the carpet back. It's velcroed.
This should expose 2 hidden bolts.
Remove those and the panel should pull down.
Unplug the electrical connector for the foot well courtesy light.
The Helms manual picture of the relay layout is very poor.
Along the front edge of the dash are the relays.
It appears from the picture there maybe a plastic cover that covers the Relays A-F.
Relay A Horn
Relay B Fuel Pump #1
Relay C Fuel Pump #2 Should be missing used on ZR1
Relay D Fog Lamp
Relay E Courtesy Lamp
Relay F Empty not used
All the relays are the same so you can swap them around for testing purposes.
Example, remove the horn relay. Make sure you have the right relay by testing the horn. Then pull the Courtesy Lamp relay and put it in the horn relay position and test it.

I had a chance to look at the car, and I want to be certain where you are talking about, before removing a lot of things.
You mentioned the foot well, but also the fuse panel cover. Do you mean I have to remove the fuse panel cover and the frame that holds the fuses in, on the side of the dash where the door closes? Or are you talking about another fuse panel under the carpet?
Are there 5 bolts I need to remove, or only 3 including the 2 hidden bolts?

Hold On -- What About Fuse # 36 (rh Ctsy)
Did you check all the fuses.
There are two fuses which can affect the front curtesy lights (on our 94).
Be sure to check 'RH Curtesy Fuse', possibly # 36, a 5-amp fuse (behind the fuse panel accessible only when the passenger door is open).
I accidently shorted the DLC pin 16 to ground and it poped that fuse. Afterwards, the front cabin lights would not go on, but the rear hatch ones did. Fixed it after replacing fuse #36 -- a 5-amp fuse.
Perhaps when you had the car in the 'shop', they did the same error, and hence why the lights are not working now...
Hope this helps..

I checked the fuses, but will check again, but the lights come on when turned on so I don't think it is a fuse, it is just the "courtesy function" doesn't work.
The relay was not clicking, and the lights did NOT come on/off. So I assumed the relay was bad, I think the display showed 1 and then 0 every 3 seconds, so it was cycling.

Then remove the fuse panel cover on the end of the passengerside dash. This will expose 3 bolts that hold on the fuse panel plastic piece that surrounds the fuses. Once the plastic piece is removed, pull back the edge of the carpet (velcroed) at the fuse panel area and you'll see the 2 hidden bolts.
Once those are out, drop the foot well panel down and unplug the connector for the foot well courtesy lamp.
