I was finally able to get my 406 back in my car with my new combination of parts and the car is an animal when pushed but still has decient street mannors when I an cruising. The new combination is a 406 engine with the superram intake, ZZ-X cam, and ported Trick flow 195 heads, 11.5 to 1 compression, and everything else that is in my signiture. I am more then happy with the power that this combination is making and cannot wait to get to the dyno to tune it in and check the power output. My guess is more then 400 RWHP and 450 RWTQ numbers, I will post the real numbers when I have them.
I was very surprised at the torque this combination has, I was expecting to loss some torque from my old combination due to the larger ZZ-X cam, but it appears to have picked up torque. First gear (auto trans) is completely usless on the street and second gear is almost as usless. At any speed less then 70 MPH the tires will go up in smoke .
Next week will be the dyno tune and then the track test, if all goes well low 11's or high 10's will be the result.
Good to hear that you have that monster cookin! When are you going to run it...maybe I will head up there and make a few runs.
Oh yeah, how is the drag car snortin?

I am going to Kaukauna next Friday night 10/07 for the real street drags and then I am going back on Saturday for the Final drag race of the season. On Saturday I will be running the drag car (1973 vette).
I was up by Keith this afternoon. I will probably be going back up next Friday.
On a side note my buddy made 426rwhp today with his blown 306 Stank. I was glad he was over 400 or I would've had to babysit him tonight to make sure he wasn't hanging in the garage. Amazingly enough I held up to him on the southbound onramp on 43 with my lowly 335.
I need a bit more tune and I think 345 is about where this car is going to come in at.
