I am leaning toward this for a build.
L98 with aluminum heads, super-ram plenum, runners, and intake, tpis long tube headers, high flow cat, cat-back exhaust.

am i missing important supporting mods? hp estimate? require custom tune? Will any of these parts require any custom fabrication?

I think I'm moving past the learning stage and starting to be able to make a plan, but I'm still at least months away from the "affording the parts" stage.

What camshaft are you going to use?

A 219 is a proven performer with great street manners. A retune will definately help you get your $$ out of the modes.. esecially with the superram.

Thats one of my questions. Do I need to change the camshaft if I change that much of the intake?

You don't need to but if your going to change heads and intake it definately would be worth it.. If you didn't want to change the cam I would just put a set of headers, superram and be done with it.

Are you concerned with emmissions? Lope? low end loss? something moderate like that will have no problems in any of those categorys.

You will need a camshaft that works with that combo, maybe lpe 219
I'm sure you will find many threads regarding that set-up and nessessary additional mods

This might sound weird, but I really don't want to change too much at once... I'm trying to plan out a "bolt-on" course of action to move to after the headers are installed.
I think I made a mistake in reasoning in my first post, come to think of it....
I thought that moving more air into the car would be a good thing, but I didn't think about where the air is going... the ports won't match between the intake and the cyl heads will it?

The ports should certainly match between the SR intake and L98 heads. If you have the engine apart to do the heads and intake, it just makes sense to do the cam at the same time as well...I hate ripping apart the same engine twice if i don't have to!

Well you make a point that if stock base matches the head ports then the Accel base will not match up. And your results would be best if the air flow paths are matched up nicely.

Th exception of course is the exhaust ports. Here you want to leave the ledge at the bottom of the port to minimize reversion.

Though DT Dyno (or Dyno2000) won't give exact results, you should get an idea of what changing cams will bring.
