Right rear area clicking
I've got a 96 CE LT-1 auto, 3.07 rear end that makes audible metallic clicking/popping sounds from the right rear when I go into drive, fwd or rev. It's not continuous but only when starting off.
I just had Van Steel replace the u joints and rear tie rod ends + alignment but they are not sure what it might be. Some have told me it could be the splines on the axle/wheel bearings...another said he replace his sway bar bushings. Car has 98k and has not been abused. Drives great otherwise than noise. Anybody have any ideas???

Dry, rusty, worn splines will make a audible click. Not enough torque on the axle nut will make it worse. If you have the time, lube the splines with anti-seize. I've got 200 lbs on my axle nuts.
