Cold Start injector problem, where to look?
I'm new here, and have an 88 car. It obviously doesn't work, the fuel pressure holds but the car cranks for 10-15 seconds. What usually goes? does the tiny line clog, or the thermoswitch, or the injector itself. Thanks for any input
Is the cranking extended only on cold starts or on warm starts too?
You can check the resistance across the sensor to see if it is grounded before a cold start and open on a warm start.
If the injector is dirty or clogged you can send it along with the std 8 injectors to Rich at Cruzin Performance (link on my site) to have the set cleaned, flow tested and leak checked.

It's only on a first cold start it does this. I had to empty the tank of water and dirt after I bought the car since it would run for 30 seconds and die. This may have clogged the injector. with that small line and no return line leaving it i'm guessing it would clog easily. Thanks for the help
