Prevailing torque hardware
Sam,
We use prevailing torque nuts with washers and springs for most similar connections. These I would think fix your problem. There are a couple different part #'s based on bolt or stud size. Get in touch and I'll give you information. Brakes I guess are done!

Are these lke the fasteners I've seen on
SuperSprint headers? Possibly on bikes and
off-road toys, too?
I'm thinking of a long bolt with perhaps a
1" long coil compression spring beneath a nut.
