Default Back from the dyno---466RWHP

What a difference a functioning ignition and a tune make! After 3+ hours on the dyno and 15+ pulls we stopped at 466 RWHP and 431 RWTQ. I was MORE than happy with the results! The car still has some more in it but I didn't want to rev it over 7K as I just replaced some of the main bearing a couple hundred miles ago and I was being paranoid...

Here's a scan of the printout...

It's a 383 LT4. My exhaust it REALLY choking up top right now too...with a better flowing exhaust and a set of shaft rockers I can probably get another 20+HP out of it...but considering this thing took me 10+ months to finish I think i am going to take a break for now!!

It's a ported LT4 intake

Outstanding, the LT4's really are an excellent base for "more"

Stock LT4 castings for the heads...but with about 4K worth of modifications and port work to them. They flow over 300CFM on the intake side and were ported specifically for the cam;

242/252 duration @.050 .55x/.56x lift on a 110 LSA

Still a hydrolic roller cam...the great thing is this car is just as easy to drive as it was when I just had heads/cam done to it. Very tame, until you hit the throttle!

I've got to get rid of my 4.10 gears, 1st and 2nd are pretty much useless unless you baby them and it just spins up too quickly to be useable. I'm thinking of going to a 3.73 rearend pretty soon.

that's really screaming, especially on a mustang dyno, great job.
Is that an all motor pass?
I would love to see a mod list too?
What size injectors/throttle body you running.
What comp. is it, and how much total timing is in it?

That should for sure run a new z06 off the road.

Compression is 11.3-11.5:1
42lb SVO injectors
TPIS 58mm billet TB

Timing right now in the upper RPM ranges at WOT is set at about 35*. It was initially set at 40* but we started getting some knock on the dyno. I called the guy who prted the heads and he wanted a max of 36* timing...we put in 35-36* and the knock was gone. And this is on crappy AZ 91 octane gas.

The owner of the dyno shop came through when we were making some runs and he was having a blast! The car sounds absolutely wicked running at 6900.

Mod list...well let me see;

All forged 383 LT4
Heavily ported LT4 heads and intake
Cam specs listed eariler
TPIS long tube headers (changed to EM headers soon I hope)
LTCC coil kit
Mez electric water pump
42 lb SVO injectors
58mm billet throttle body
Billet MAF ends

The short-block and heads were put together by Gary Grimes out in Georgia, he does a lot of powertrain development for GM and has one of he largest engine dyno shops in the country. He's not cheap, but he's one of the best. If you want any more specifics just let me know!

Got any clips of the car at idle with that cam?

I'll bet it sounds killer!

Great numbers........

But with 7000rpm of capability why not think about tires that will hook??

If you are really spinning in 2nd gear, and I am sure you are, with that much power going to 3.73 isn't going to eliminate traction problems especially in 1st gear....then again you might need the 3.73's at the top end going thru the traps

Pleasant problem.......too much power....enjoy..

Until I really beef up the rear-end I don't want to put extremely sticky tires on there. I have a set of Kuhmo Victoracers available to me that I may test out a bit and see how that goes...
