think about it. what better car is there to hot rod these days? cost vs potential performance. what does a 60's camaro cost to restore? i paid $6200 for mine and it was in great shape. has all the creature comforts and had possibly the best suspension that you can buy(within reason). no one know how old it is until they get up close and know their vettes.

Bill,
You're Welcome! And a BIG WELCOME to the Forum!
I believe the "84" could be bought with either a cloth OR leather interior. And I also believe Chevy sold more cloth than leather interiors. The color pattern on the cloth interiors I have seen is really nice. Which one do you have?
The "84" is a way of connecting with your father. I lost my dad in '86. A day does not go by that I do not think of him.
And I also believe Chevy sold more cloth than leather interiors.
Out of a total of 51,547 Corvettes produced for the 1984 year model, 40,568 came with the leather seat option. The balance, were either the standard cloth seats or the cloth, "sports seats".
i love my 84 to death. handles better than my friend's cobra, my GT, and just about anything else. it truly was ahead of it's time. We'll be seeing just how far the injection system can be stretched here in about 3 months when the snow starts to go away. The motor is almost in!
Not yet, but I'll try to do it soon. First of all, I've never posted a picture on the internet, I'm sure it's not difficult though. I'm not exactly your up-to-the-minute computer guy

What kind of Malarkey is "3.07 performance gear ratio"? The 3.07:1 rear end was the base, standard ratio in the 1984 cars. In 1984, the "G92" performance axle ratio option was RPO# GW4. 3.31:1. Of the 51,547 1984 model year cars built, 410 of them were built with the $22.00, G92/GW4, 3.31:1 option. "3.07 performance gear ratio", Indeed.
