Default fx3 module

Hi guys

I've just replaced my Fx3 bilsteins schocks by manualy adjustable Konis while the first ones will be upgraded.

So I would lile to know how to unplug the Selective Ride Control module. I mean, where is it located? (I've removed shocks and actuators)

Thanks for your help

David

According to HELMS on a 1995, the selective ride control module is in the rear floor compartment on the left hand side of the ABS modulator.
A picture is worth more than my explanation!

Great answer! Thank you very much

The konis don't fit with the DRM coilovers so I'll use them while I send the Delco/Bilstein ones to San Diego to have their groove machined and have them rebuilt with stronger specs.

Thanks!

Guys here is my feedback ...

Location was the same in my '93 as you mentionned it. The little "cigarette pack size" computer is written Bilstein on it and relatively easy to unplug. No problem later on without it, everything works fine.

I've been driving for 1000 miles this week-end on good and bad roads, dry pavements, snowy autobahn, ... slow and fast (up to 60 mph in the snow overtaking all other cars and even a 4wd pick up truck!)... GSD3 are not that bad on snow!

The problem after removing the rear shock actuators was not to "loose" the electrical connectors inside the frames rails. So I've tighten them with a soft metalic wire to the nuts of the new schocks. If I have to get them out, I'll just have to pull gently the shock out and the actuator electrical connectors will follow 4 inches behind.

The handling with the Konis at the factory settings is simply very good for me (as good as it could be with the cheap fiber spring design): a real *damping* effect (understand it doesn't ride like a '69 Eldorado).

Thanks again for your first help!

So your "Check the Selective Ride System" Light went out when you disconnected the computer?

Absolutely.

It never went on (I only switched on once everything was done).
