Default Intake Question, help a noob out!

Hey guys,

I was wondering if this intake kit

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-00...20038607QQrdZ1

Would fit a c4? My dad has a c4 and I am trying to get him something for XMAS. Thanks. If this wont, can someone point me to a kit that will fit?

I don't think so. I'd just get a K&N filter for the OEM housing and call it a day.

well that sucks

Does anyone make a actual kit or k&n filter in OEM about the only thing you can get?

Is there anything else in that price range that would make a good gift?

Something is fishy about that intake kt. $25? The cone filters alone cost twice that.

For a similar C4 intake kit, try this http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=3.12.733 - it costs alot more than $25

There are other kits like this.. http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=3.732 but not in that price range. Beware of supposed cold air intakes like the one you asked about. All it does is take "hot air" from the motor and radiator.

But then again, maybe that intake is stolen and the guy is just looking to make some money.

This isn't very glamorous, but Mid America has a MAT sensor relocation kit in that price range. And it is probably one of the few cheap mods that everyone agrees can make the motor perform better. It's item number 606-030, and costs $44.99.

Here's a couple idea's which you can pickup at Ecklers and perhaps Mid America (MAD):

Corvette Logo Leather CD holder (45087 Ecklers) 24.99 [I have on and luv it]
50th Anniversary Corvette Logo Leather Money Clip/Credit Card holder (Ecklers 45086) 17.99 [I have one and stopped using a wallet for a couple years now this is perfect gave one to my brother he luvs it too]
New set of front spoilers (Ecklers 39007) 44.99 [they always get scratched up]

It would be fairly easy to buy for a corvette fanatic, perhaps a framed picture. MAD has a lot of neat stuff. Surely there are some catalogs laying around or hop on their websites.

K&N w/cut lit would run about 80-90.

uh I'm a C4 owner. It's italian soft leather with the 50th cross flags on it, my feelings on all vette accessories [doesn't matter to me what year]: so what it's still Corvette - it's still .

Here's the link it has a picture with close up of cross flags:

clicky
