Good info, I think everyone has there own way to adjust valves. But, I think I will try this out, the opposite intake valve way. Screw adjusting them while the car is running!!

I used that method 2 years ago when i did my rollers. I never had to adjust them running or static again. There are lots of good methods and all are only as good as the person performing them.

Good link , that is very similar to the Comp Cams method .030 which on my set-up using an indicator came out to 3/4 turn. (c.c. also has theirs printed out in the cam catalogue).

OK, I will be quick to agree that the method will work. But what is wrong with bringing #1 to TDC and adjusting both intake and exhaust. Rotate the engine 1/4 turn and adjust #8, then #4 and so on. When #1 is at indicated TDC the cam followers should be at or near the center of the base circle insuring both valves are fully closed. 1/4 turn and #8 is fully closed. I guess it really doesn't make too much difference how just so long as you get the job done right.
