Chip(Prom) Help
Guys, have a 91 auto. everything is stock. Have an ongoing code 32(egr).Have tested and replaced everything,still the "code". Can someone delete the egr test on my stock chip so I don't see the SES light come on? if so, how much? Thanks!!

Tom can take care of you, but if you are interested in looking at the manuals test procedure, I will fax it to you. It may help you find something that you have overlooked. As a matter of fact, Tom sent me this information several years ago when I first looked into this forum. (code 32) Thanks Tom, now I'm a forum addict!

My experience with code 32 is that if it appears after start up and engine is cold, it is the EGR temperature switch that is bad. If it appears while driving at operating temp, with partial throttle for 4 minutes at cruise, it is the EGR selenoid that is the culprit. When I had a mini ram, which delets the whole EGR system, no codes appeared.This was in a 1986 vette. It should'nt be hard to fix, or remove the whole system and block the holes where the selenoid and and EGR feed, or tube attaches.
