Did you trace the sensor wire and make sure it's not shorted?
No I didn't. I'm probable the only person with a digital ohmeter that doesn't know how to use it. I have the GM manual that tells what to wires to go after. I just don't know what to put the selector switch on to to read it with.
Do you know where I can find info on how to use it online? It's a Fine Instruments Corperation RCC 470.
Thanks
Thanks for your hard work SunCr! I had done the same search a while ago and could not find my model. I looked again still no model and no down loadable owner manuals. I did however, email them to see if they could still do it.
Car runs rich, radiator fan is running when car is on, but not when the key is turned to the on position with the car off.
I just fixed a vacuum leak in my SuperRam,. Thanks andrew!
My coolant temperature sensor is less than two years old, I got a CTS code 15 today while driving. My temps on my dash are rock solid at 180 degrees. I have a 180 T stat.
The car has a new ECM, its not even 2 months old.
Should I suspect my CTS? The pigtail looks kinda shady.
Forgot to mention a few weeks ago while datalogging my CTS read 40 degrees below zero. I shut the car off, started it again, and it was back to normal at 180.
