I have a 95 auto that had the front o2 sensor replaced about six months ago. In the mean time the coil went out (only partially) and was sending only a small amount of fire to the plugs. After replacing the opti-spark we found out it was the coil- oh well it needed one anyway.... now it showed the second bank o2 sensor was tripping the code and the car was running very very rich. we replaced the passanger side o2 sensor after the cat. On the computer it showed the readings at around .88-.94 while normal driving. yet the car was still rich (read black stuff all over the back of my car) and the SES light comes on after the loop opens. I disconnected the front o2 sensors and the car seems to run almost perfect just a little rich and the computer says the disconnected sensors are reading .45 I also can only find three sensors on the exhaust sytem (stock) two on the passenger side one pre cat on th edrivers side. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, I need to get one-I did however find out today that the first o2 sensor I had put in does not work-replaced it and everything is fine-although Chevy still says there are four sensors on my car...

If you have a 95 model year car, you have only three sensors. The third sensor is located rear of the CAT. You can disconnect this sensor or leave it in place. It was a pre-OBD2 sensor that does not do anything in the fueling strategy. The two front sensors, one on each bank are the sensors that tell the PCM what is going on.
