what code are you getting ground the diagnostic plug and check how manny times the light blinks
that will give you the code did you take out the o2 sensors? post the code or buy a repair manual
for your car it will show how to get the codes? :blueangel:
I did the same thing and while I was at it installed my Hooker long tubes. It's the only mod I've done that when I took it for a drive when I was finished I could really tell a difference. Actually, it surprised the heck out of me. I don't drive my car daily so the exhaust tone is great. Gotta love it! -Jeff
im interested in knowing the answer to this question. im considering removing the cat and want to know what problems i'll encounter. thanks, james in clovis
Re: true duals without cat question..? (james holley)
on an L98, you should be able to remove the cats and pre cats with no problem at all. on later cars though you need o2 sims to fool the computer to thinking that the converters are still there. i removed the cat and pres on my L98 and i tdoesnt throw codes. :yesnod:
Could someone post a pic or tell me how to check if the pre-cats are still there?
I know the kentucky boys I bought mine from removed the cats, and I'm redoing the whole exhaust system and I'd like to know if I've gutted everything or not ;)
I'm going to remove that AIR pump also while I'm at it.
Yes I live in an emissions state, no I don't care about the Arbor Day foundation (f'ers screw up my frisbee golf game with all them dang trees), and yes I plan to use that $300 in repairs waiver trick everytime I need to thanks to shady mechanics ;)
