For a 1993 vette, I have stock tail lights but want them blacked out. Should I put black tint (is it a good idea?) over them or does anyone have a good link where I can order something nice for the taillights?

There are two options for accomplishing this.
One is to spray a tint on your lenses. The more you spray, the darker it gets. I haven't seen it recently, but I believe it's sold thru auto parts retailers.
The other option is a static film that is applied and can be easily removed to return to "stock". Most Corvette specialtly catalogs (and probably websites) list this item.

I got mine from elkerts,a pain to keep clean.
Check your local laws, most wont let you use them,I know most of the force over here and they don't bother me.

Thats sick, do you think if I pulled up to a tint shop, and asked them to customly black out my lights they could pull it off for cheap?? any opinions? $99.99 is alot for those acrylic stuff. Don't get me wrong, I would love to get those, but not wanting to spend 100$ for blacked out tail lights if u know what i mean.
Thats a good idea ask a tint shop may be he will just temporarily put a sample piece on one glass lets see how it looks, yeah i agree 100 bucks a little tad high for that damn plastic, i paid 65 for mine 84-90 round style a little cheaper than urs 91-96 square style. But this kit comes with all hardware an easy install piece of cake though.
I used the kit from Ecklers for 89.95...
I tried the static clings but they came off in the autobahn.
I have driven 150MPH plus and raced in some events, and they are still on.
I am about to have the side windows blacked out too, then I will try to black out the edge of the rims..then I will have the true blacked out effect
Had mine sprayed.... Sorry I dont know what product was used. Love the results though
I love the both the front and back with the spray...accents the "curves" of the lenses. I noticed the faint outlines of flames on the front here. Nice and subtle...not over bearing!
Excellent looking Vette!
