I just received my new metal brake booster from http://www.hotrodsusa.com/store/product341.html and on the recipt they gave me it's says for 85-91 and I have a 92 . But on there website if you click the link above it says for 85-92. Anyways my question is will it fit and perform fine on my 92 or should I send it back. My stock one is plastic and this one is metal by the way.
You will see that the metal brake booster that they sell fits 1985 to 91, part # 618-141
The plastic one show that they fit 1992-96 and 1992-95.
I don't know if the one sold by hotrodsusa (metal one) is the same as the Mid America one, but if it is I don't think that it will work on a 92. I believe that there is only one manufacturer of metal reproduction booster.
It really PO's me when vendors list like that.I know they mean up to 92 so 92 guys especially have to be careful about the parts they buy. Most parts on the LT1 cars are not compaitble with earlier cars in the engine bay area.
Send it back. Its a hard task to complete with the right equipment. But if you use the wrong piece your gunna be in for allot more headache. Stop while your ahead. good luck
