And, you can get a set of real headers for not that much more than shorties. You can get the painted Hookers for not much over $300. Shorties are almost a waste of time and $, even if you didn't already have them.

I'm third in line and . Remove the heat shield from your stock manifolds and you've got shorties. 
Get some longtubes or save your money for something worthwhile.
