Meziere HD
Don't make the mistake like I did ,I thought Jegs sent me a Meziere HD
and it could not even keep up with the cooling system ,it was just a regular Meziere .It was more like a slurry pump ,it did nothing,to turn over the cooling system.

Because the serpentine now has to transfer more power to the generator, I don´t think that the serpentine losses will be less. I have the feeling they will increase as well because twice the power is needed. After all you need to cool the engine.
I was wrong guys, 93RAGTOP did correct me here :o
At high RPM the normal fuelpump needs and deliverd MUCH more than required, the electric does not. I like to buy one as wel!!!

Well I researched this some time ago and it fits for me in the same catergory as Underdrive Pulleys, go ahead and use them if you want, not me, I have a 1430 watt stero system, and the underdrive would just make street driving horrible, the Elec water pumps are 10 times as much trouble as the standard type, for the few HP you get, and I'm moving to Phoenix...........you know 120 degrees in the shade in July, once again, no thanks, not for me.
Any part that has a decent chance of causing more trouble than its worth and adds minimal power is never going to be on my car.

Again, the main advantage of the epump is to eliminate the crappy LT1/4 timing set to water pump drive. The risk is real if you have an LT4 or cammed car and can't use the LT1 chain set /gears.
Most everything has been said, but there are two things I want to mention:
You don't have to pull the timing cover and remove the drive gear. Leaving it in there won't hurt anything, I have heard lots of CF guys say they left it in with no ill effects. Although, if you're going to do anything more than street driving with an occasional drag run you might want to consider the timing chain upgrade suggested by others.
I have heard good reports about the Meziere HD and the CSR. One of the guys above (I think it was either sothpaw or CorvetteKidNC) told me last year that they had used both with no issues.
I personally have the Meziere HD.
One drawback - it makes working down in the area of the harmonic balancer a PITA because it sticks out over the front crossmember. I've been playing with timing and my knuckles are bloody.
