Default unplugged IAC

As I started my vette this morning, it started to backfire. It ran rougher than usual. Finally, it quit running. I noticed that my IAC connector was unplugged. (I had took it loose when I was replacing my TPS, and I forgot to plug it back in. I know, I know, I should of been more careful.)

I have plugged the IAC back in, but now the engine cranks, but does not start up.

Did I do any damage by running the engine while having the IAC unplugged?

No damage should have occured. Try pressing the gas pedal during cranking, you may have a flooded engine and putting the gas pedal to the floor will put the ECM in Flood mode.

put the gas pedal to the floor and release it, or hold it to the floor?

You should cosider removing the negative battery terminal (for about 10 seconds) to remove any stored codes in the ECM
