Yes, I siameased and port matched my plenum/runners/intake and it was good for about 25lbs rwhp and 21lbs rwtq on the dyno

Default intake

Where the runners bolt to the intake how deep did you cut down the center web between the ports? I am thinking of going down 2" deep and about 3/4" tall and then radius the edge of the cut. Can you explain what you did?

Not calling b.s., but I'd like to see that.

Anyhow, I siamesed the plenum and dremel'd these out.

How about I send you my new (new to me) edelbrock base and untouched set of stock uppers, and a blank rubber check? You got all the tools man.

Only reason I believe that is your profile says you got a 383 engine.A tpi is starving its potential and opening it up will feed it more air that it needs.

On a stock engine youre not going to see anything, and if youre lucky maybe a few ponies.

I'm running a set of aftermarket runners and I removed the dividing walls in as far as I could possibly reach using a long metal saw-all blade.

I actually wanted to COMPLETELY remove the dividing walls, but couldn't get the blade to turn the corner right near the center of the runners. The only way to get to that area would be to cut a section out of the runners, remove the walls behind that section, then weld it all back up.

Going from memory, I believe my runners still have about 1-1/2" of dividing wall remaining. All the rest is long gone (siamesed).

I did pretty much the same thing with the intake manifold, leaving about 2" of wall remaining just before the intake manifold runners meet the cylinder heads.

I remember writing down all the numbers as I did the porting and may have them around here, somewhere. If I come across them, I'll post them.

OK if a person was to remove the sheet metal cover off of the bottom of the intake. And set up a jig on the mill table to lay the intake on its side, clamp it to the jig.then drop down inside the round ports that feed the opposite side of the engine. How deep did you cut into the web between the ports?

I think siamesing the 5&7 tracts is a terrible idea.

Before...

After...

Ok, so I was a little off. Only 21 rwhp and 14 rwtq. Shoot me for not remembering correctly.

And no comments about the pathetic numbers I am putting out with this motor. What would you expect from a 8:1 motor? I plan on putting flattops in it and hopefully bringing the compression up to about 9.5:1

Leo, I was told to use evercoat (?!), a fiberglass bondo in a wet/dry intake by a prominent porter out here to fill small holes, divots, things like that. Gas and heat doesnt affect it. Ill talk more with him tonight on it.
