I have my fuel sender out right now to try and trouble shoot the fuel level sender (I think I fixed it - at least my ohm meter says it works... anyway).
I'd like to zip tie the wires to the unit to make sure they don't get in the way of the float arm.
My question is, is that okay? I'm nervous about adding anything to the fuel tank that wasn't there originally.

Also, I was able to fix the fuel level sender. That is a pretty easy project, and saved me about $300. I like it.
Did you ceck the resistance? At no fule pos. the resistance shoud be zero , max a few ohms. If not, add a flex ground wire from the moving arm to the structure and clean the resistance wire and the slider carefully.. The ground contact runs bad after a while. The resistance at max fuel pos. should be approx 90 Ohms.
