Quick TB question
Can someone tell me if there are any o-rings in the TB on a 85. Not sure if there are any on the butterfly shaft or anywhere else.
I was going to soak it in solvent but the solvent I use hates rubbber

No, there aren't any O rings in the throttle body (TPI or LT1) unless you've had the bearing "upgrade" done. There is, however, a 2 piece plastic spring tension device at the throttle arm end (big black thing where the spring is) so, if the solvent you use doesn't like rubber, chances are it will weaken or destroy the plastic.
I've done the bearing "upgrade" on several TB's and I tear them down before putting any solvent on them (soak em in parts cleaner).
