I have a forum member selling a flowmaster catback exhaust that he claims is two years old. The mufflers are 50 series. I have a first generation B&B now. The car is now way too loud.
If I replace the B&B with the flowmaster how will it sound? I have a set of hooker long tube headers on the car now. NO cats...
I had flowmaster in mine. I do not know what series they were but I can say that I no longer have them. The resonance was too much for me. I sold them to a guy with a Vert for $100 and I installed Dynomax Turbos. They are just a bit louder than stock.
I have the Flowmaster Force II catback system on my '86 Convertible. The mufflers in the system are 50 Series Delta Flows with dual stainless steel tips. This is connected to stock manifolds, a new y-pipe(no pre-cats), and a highflow 3-way cat....
I am very happy with this system. No Resonance.....I just spent 18 hours driving over a two day period and was very pleased with the sound. It's loud when you step on it and mellows at cruise speeds...
Tough call. When I bought my car, it had the stock exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Pretty nice sound with no resonance. I now have "Gen II" B&B catback system with LT. Resonance was pretty bad until I unstalled 3.54 gears. That helped some. When I did a heads/cam package, the resonance dissapeared and the sound is awesome - kind of a mid-year deep growling sound.
