Fitting Exhaust Pipes
I have a question regarding putting together an exhaust system. I know it would be easier to just buy a bigger front y-pipe. However I want to know if its possible to do this... My front Y is 2 1/4" and the catalytic converter and on back is 2 1/2". Is there any way I can fabricate something to make them fit or shrink the opening to the converter? I have a friend who has all the materials to weld, cut, etc. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

There are step down and step up sections all over the place. Even the cheapy parts stores have them. Don't forget getting right clamp sizes. Yep, I did. Could your friend come over and weld a split in my Y. It's on top and afraid it may have damaged rear universal and fron diff. seal. Sorry, that's not your prob.
