Default Frisbee thingy

Well i removed my frisbee thingy on the water pump yesterday there is a slightly noticable increase in the smoothness that the engine raps up and how quickly it does it. These may or may not be phycological but i can feel a difference. Will have some 1/4 mile times to back me up while up in Bowling Green for labor day i will post the results as soon as i can

On a side note there is one side effect i have noticed, but it maybe because i have been watching and listening to make sure i don't do any damage and it may have been there before. But what i noticed is the engine will bog more at idle when something is drawing on the alternator like signal light or initially turning on the headlights. But again i was driving with the radio off and while it wasn't enough to make the tach jump it would make the engine sound bogged. So i think i will put it back on and see if it still does that.

I guess it would make sense that that disc spinning at idle would help take some of the load off of the engine if the alternator or A/C kick on. The whole centrifigal force thing.

Anyone else notice anything like this?

Well i guess i will wait and see before jumping to any conclusions and i will keep you guys updated

I didn't notice anything like those symptoms, but I was watching the pulley/belt action for any problems.

And, yes, mine too revs up faster and the time slips don't lie.

As an aside, when I installed the March crank underdrive pulley I expected to see another gain in trap speed, but only saw a drop in ET at the same speed. Again the motor revs faster with the underdrive.

If you can get some runs with conditions similar to past I'm sure your time slips will tell the story. Let us know what happened with trap speed.
