Can anyone get me started on how to replace some dash lights on my 1989? The right side of the main panel is out and while the gauges work fine, at night they are dark... Info will get me started but pictures or diagrams would be really great...
Pull your front bezel off, you will see 4shiny pieces of metal. The bulbs are
under these.Take them out and i used needle nose pliers to pull the bulbs out.
Be carefull, do not break them by squeezing to hard .some members say to pull the entire cluster out to change the bulbs fromthe back. This way worked fine for me,meaning i pulled them from the front.the new ones slide right back in.I would change them all ,the others cannot be far behind.I think i used bulb number 194,It is a lower candlepower than the stock bulbs,I think 1.5 watt diff. But, icannot tell a difference at all.I can see evreything just fine.I believe the stock bulb is an 882.
someone will correct me if i am wrong. Pretty sure that should get you goin again.
Matt
Do you know it's the bulbs & not the connectors? The top two lights on my 89 are out right now, but they "came and went" a lot, especially when it rained. I've heard a lot abot how the connectors need to be cleaned.
