Default '94 Lt1 Cooling Fans

My '94 has been stored for about 4 months. I took it to a local Chevy dealer to change oil and flush cooling system. After they bled the system they said they can't get the cooling fans to kick on unless they manually hit the fans with the A/C.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Yeah. They need to let it warm up more. Primary fan turn on temp is ~219*. Secondary fan turns on around 227*

Thats why you should never let the dealer touch your car

Did they bleed the coolant? There are two bleed screws near the TB that don't exist on earlier cars. Maybe there's an air pocket there affecting the sensor?

Do they know WTF they are doing? Do they have a factory service manual? Did they RTFM?

That is normal, without the A/C on the fan kicks on at about 220 degrees. It stays on as long as the A/C is turned on.

Jim,
I was working on my fans today and I do believe the primary fans stay on all the time while the secondary turns on at 225...correct me if I am wrong...

I seriously doubt that the chevy dealer doesn't know the operating temps.

FWIW the stock temps for my 94 were 104*C and 109*C

It's at the dealer - why the post? Are they unable to diagnose it, or you just don't want to let them diagnose it?

If they are unable to diagnose such a simple problem, then keep your car away from them.

I think your car is just fine. Primary comes on with A/C, or at about 225, cycles temp down to about 219. Secondary comes on about 235. Might be 239 just cant remember exactly.

Point is everybody here is on the same page. Charge on.
