Door Seal Replacement
Tomorrow I will be replacing the outer door sealing strip and was told I had to remove the window from the track in order to get the three rivits drilled out and replace with three new. Is this information correct? Has anyone already replaced the rubber seal using OEM parts?

I got all the rivets drilled out but i THINK i was unable to replace one in the middle area. Its been a few years
Be sure to loosen the felt adjustment pads at the top of door to give you more room to work. I used GM strips but still had to cut off one of the clips as it did not line up with the hole.

I just did mine last week (85). Door panel off and just rolled down the window. Mine only had one rivet on each end. I drilled them out and replaced with self tapping screws. Went in fine. I didn't have a middle rivet. Use a rubber hammer to knock them into place. Pretty easy to change.
