Ford 22# injectors ???
I have to get new injectors and was wondering if the Ford/Bosch pink top 22# injectors would require any retuning. Will i need AFPR too , or is that just for 24# blue tops? I have a 1989 L98 thats all stock. Will these perform as good as OEM that cost way too much?? Thanks in advance

The ford pink top injectors will work well in your l98. They don't really require a re-tune or an AFR. They are pretty much plug and play, however your engine will run a little rich on startup. The ECM will adjust for this issue once in closed loop.
The reason for this richness on startup, is the ford injectors work on a lower pressure than the GM injectors. This will cause them to flow more fuel into the cylinders giving a slightly higher air fuel ratio., which the ECM will correct, once in closed loop. (hopefully I expalined that correctly, I'm sure others on the forum could explain it better if I messed up
)
I have used these injectors on my care for over two years with no problems. I have used the stock fuel regulator and stock chip and recently got through NJ motor vehicle inspection with this set up. So put them in and enjoy the difference new injectors make in performance.

In any case, the flow rate is close enough that the ECM has no problem correcting, but I'd bet at WOT I'm still a bit leaner than optimal.
