Default 93 ruby brakes

Hi all, have a problem with our 93 roadster brakes tha has me kind of baffled...The brakes are very ineffective in comparison to our 78 c3. This winter I moved the car out of the garage in the snow, and after I had stopped the car with the brakes on fairly hard, the rear wheels continued to spin even after I pushed harder on the pedal. We have complained to the dealer about the brakes, but they said they were "normal". I'm thinking not normal. The car has extended waranty and only has about 40,000 miles. Any ideas????? Thanks red

When I went to ceramic pads this past winter, some air had gotten into the lines when I bled the system. It wasn't bad enough to cause the pedal to go to the floor, but I lost a lot of stopping power. Also, if the fluid is original, you need to get a system flush. A lot of your stopping power is attributed to a closed brake system that is filled to the proper level and with clean fluid. Too many hard, energy-absorbing stops will boil your fluid, and that will also cause problems. My suggestion is have the fluid changed and if you really want good stopping power, EBC's the Red Stuff brake pads made a huge difference in my '94's stopping power.
