Think I got it

I think this could be it!!

Dont know how it ran so smooth under power, hope this is my idle problem--well off to the auto store, with my fingers crossed

Looks like an old Rotor! I am sure glad I have an OPTI instead of a maintenance intensive old fashioned distributor.

Thats the rotor that was in the car. WHen I loosened the cap to do the flywheel change the rotor must have cracked and when I started it it just dissinagrated--but the car ran great under power just didnt idle-go figure

Actualy it is a little better but still has a little rough idle and like a jerking when you try to hold it steady 2000 rpm . Ill have to keep digging ,Its allmost there
