I learn something everytime I work on this car, I guess. I think you could say that my old waterpump had definitely reached the end of its lifespan.
Oddly enough, my car never overheated- and didn't leak too badly.

From a bolt along the bottom up towards the weep hole.
I'll see if I can get a picture tonight.
I think what happened was that between the aluminum pump, steel bolts and the coolant a reaction occured that put a stress crack through the housing of the pump. That crack got worse and worse.
