another problem
Car was running fine. After a busniness meeting, I went to start, all lights came on as normal but upon turning it over, a loud "click" and everthing went dead. Now nothing works.

Start at square 1 with the battey connections and possible bad battery. When you say now nothing works like lights and head lights that would indicate a battery related problem or connections and not the starter at this point. You should remove both battery connections and see if there tight and not corroded.
