Default Ethanol Question. Again?

I dont drive my 93 much , and I just took it out for a quick cruise after bleeding the brakes. It ran like crap till it warmed up. SO when I came home I checked the plugs, which were new. The ignition (DELTEQ/new wires) is very good. Well the plugs were black. SO I looked at the old plugs I took out before and they were tan. Strange. The car has a very good tune, new ignition etc etc.
The only difference was I put, and filled, the tank with that new 10% ethanol mix as thats all they have.
Can this cause my Vette to run richer? DO I need to retune after putting this in my tank?

With a higher Ethanol content the engine will run leaner. With E85 (85% Ethanol) you need about 30% more fuel flow.

Steve, I believe all cars manufactured in the Unites States since 1988 are supposed to be 10% Ethanol compatable. Since the first of the year, the only thing you could get in Oklahoma is 10% Ethanol blend. My car seems to be doing fine with it. I haven't noticed any adverse effects with it...but I haven't pulled my plugs to check either.

When the plugs are black, it indicates that the car is rich. Fuel with alcohol sould give you plugs that are cleaner. So you have an other problem. Run it at the highway for half an hour and check your plugs again without urban driving in the meantime.

I used 3 bottles of Iso Heat water remover in mine. Its supposedly 100% isopropyl alcohol.
