Default E-Mail from AFR, new line available!

I just got this from AFR, appearantly their new line is available for the 180 and 195. They are indeed impressive numbers as Tony promised...

AFR's New Eliminator 23 Degree SBC Head

Raising the Bar in Performance
  • Light weight 8mm valves, valve springs, retainer and lock components
  • Light weight parts reduce valve float, increase reliability and performance gains of 75 HP with hydraulic roller cams at 6500 RPM
  • Whopping 10% increase in flow at all valve lifts. Our 195cc flows 300 CFM at .550 lift and the 210cc flows 310 CFM at .600 lift!!
  • 180 and 195cc available now! 210cc in 60 days and our all new 220 and 227 (325+ CFM) shortly there after
  • Most efficient, highest flowing 23 degree head available, our street head out flows our competitions race head.
  • No other true bolt on 23 degree head comes close!!
  • State-of-the-art work cell for reduced lead times.
  • Click here for more information.
Impressive....I wonder what the $$ is on the 195's

I have been waiting for these heads for a customers car in the Bay area. Well finally they are available. I saw one of these heads at last years SEMA show and was very impressed with the new castings. They are using a new casting method to build these heads, overall quality is better than the old versions.

Dayum!!!

I think I know what head I will be using on the next build. My ported Dart 200ccs still flow 20cfm less than that at 550....

My guess is they expect more people will change out
the dished hypereutectic pistons in exchange for forged
flat tops.

They can mill the heads to reduce the chambers to your
specs. For a price and within limits, I expect.
