Default TB Bypass questions

What size hose goes to the inlet and outlet connecton point on the TB? From articles I've read it seems that one side is 3/8" and the other side is 5/8". Can I bypass the TB by running one hose from the inlet connection to the outlet connection? If so, what size hose do I need?

Thanks

do you have a napa? If so, they sell these plastic connector thingys that will allow two different hose sizes to mate up.

BTW, it should be a 1/2 to 5/8.

A length of 5/8'' hose will get you from the metal tube and into the intake with no splices. Here is how i routed mine. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1396218

I had to read his (split-end) public profile to find out, but he has a 96. The Lt1 TB is different than our L98.
On the Lt1 they are two different sizes (3/8 & 5/8).
Your post/pics helped me w/ mine, thanks!

On an LT4 which is the inlet and outlet htr nipple. Which one do we connect the line that went to the throttle body on? Top or bottom.

In the first picture, you can see the connector on the left (driver's) side of the TB where the hose once was:

In the next picture, you can see the hose going from the "T" connector atop the radiator housing to the right side of the plenum (it's the only "curvy" hose in the pic).

The end of that hose which is now connected to the plenum USED to be connected to the left side of the TB (i.e., in picture 1). All I did was remove the hose from the left side of the TB, completely remove the hose from the OTHER side of the TB, swing the left-side hose underneath, and connect it to (the plenum) where the old one once was.

The TB is now bypassed. Make sense? If not, let me know and I'll try a better explanation...

Ok let me try again and look at it. Since I have it in a 64 GS and I am not going to use the heater for right now and will have a remote filler/expansion tank so its a little more complicated. Trying to fiqure out how I need to do this. Corvette kid layed it out pretty well, I just need to know which htr nipple is the outlet and inlet so I do not mess up the flow and can connect the remote filler hose to it. The middle nipple on the passenger side right below the PCV is ??? Vacuum

I built a 64 Corvette Grand Sport from Mid America and it has a LT4 in it. I am wiring it up now.
