Awhile ago there was a guy on ebay selling a gas saving devise which sold I think for around 200 bucks. What was it? A peice of 2 X 4 to jab under the accellerator so you dont go to fast. He had a disclaimer on it too

Two plus Two does not equal 22
There is another reason and if you didnt have a restriction in your intake you would have done even better

I had a friend in school in 1969 that wanted to build the same thing, I told him it wouldn't work then, I probably cost him a million dollars.

i think its b/s like so much else that i see, even gm adds on tv.

but:
i remember the intake manifold gaskets with bugscreen sandwiched in the ports that were dyno-tested by a major hot-rod mag and did improve low end torque (never bought em tho).... i put an edelbrock torker intake manifold on my ''floating dyno'' (jet boat) that had much smaller passages than stock but actually added rpm.... several other strange things that shouldn't work but did..

anybody with real data?

This is so typical of these forums. A lot of folks spew hearsay as gospel with no scientific data to support the claims. The only person I've seen so far with any solid input is Snuffy as he's actually tried the thing. Apparently it didn't hurt performance for him.

It may be that the thing is a total waste of time but I can't say say either way since I have no evidence of anything.

I bought one from midamerica about a year ago or so, we tested it with the new gtech back to back vs. no tornado. There was no hp, tq, or 1/4 mile time difference. I sent it back and got a refund as I've done with a few other falsely advertised parts from midamerica.

I gtech every mod I do, I've sent several items back. The airfoil is one I should have sent back as well, but kept for some reason. The granatelli MAF also got sent back.

Best mods for me were LT headers and 52mm TB. All the other things I've done may have helped slightly, but those two mods were best by far. The granatelli actually cost me power.

So I have to buy one and try one before I knock it? Actually let me head over to my psychic and just ask her. Well damn, that'll have to wait, because after all those ***** growth pills I experimented with, I can't fit through the door.

You don't need a college degree to realize the tornado is garbage. Spinning air into a plenum box does nothing to help 'atomize' fuel on an multiport fuel injected motor.

Call back and tell them to put it in writing and if they will get one. Then dyno your car before you install it and dyno it afterward. Then sue the pants off of them! Yeah, stick it to em! LOL
