The roadkill "Vette Kart" was around 2100 lbs and it was nothing but the frame. "m not sure many can even come close to that without shedding the body like they did.
good point...
corvette design has traditionally been a lightweight body on a heavy frame (with a big heavy engine).
I'm at 2920 with a 5 point cage and 12 bolt rearend. No air, 5 gallon cell, empty bumpers, Pinto rack, Weld Draglites front and rear, Ron Davis radiator, Strange brakes.
i would love to come up with a c4-r race car that would go head to head and defeat c6r and c7r race team's - at a fraction of the cost
Thanks for sharing. Keep in mind my 87 was 3090 stock auto cross trim, and the 91 was over 3300 in the same trim. Basically a 93 has much much heavier trans, bumpers, interior, exhaust, flywheel, wiring, etc.,

To make power to weight ratio for my class I have to keep my race weight at 3000. That is with me (225) and an completely full tank of fuel. There's still stock glass and other parts, the car can get plenty light. 2500 car weight yes, 2500 race weight I'm not sure. I think there was a build in the race section with a 4 cylinder combo that was close.
