Default 93 Temperature control issues

My AC stopped working after I replaced the alternator. The AC was running on a hot day when I realized the alternator stopped working. I noticed the light under the AUTO button blinking before I replaced the alternator. After replacing the alternator, the AC is not working. Is there something that I need to reset, or is the alternator failure completely unrelated?

Thanks,

Mike

there is a method of testing the AC computer. I don't remember the exact key press combo, but you might try searching for AC programmer diagnostics, or something like that.

The blinking light means there is a code... it could have been caused by the voltage drop, or the alternator failure, or nothing more than a bad coinky-dink....

What exactly on you’re A/C has stopped. Do you have control over the buttons? Does your compressor run? If it does, how cold is the receiver/dryer? Do the fans blow any air?

To enter the diagnostic mode, key on. Push and hold the fan up and down arrow at the same time until the LCD display shows –00. Release buttons. The error code will then be displayed. Press the auto button to cycle thru to see if there are any more codes.

Faults are 01 to 10;

00=No Faults
01= Temp Door Motor Circuit Fault
02= Temp Door Motor Circuit Fault
03 = Ambient Sensor Open
04 = Ambient Sensor Short
05 = In-Vehicle Temp Sensor Open
06 = In-Vehicle Temp Sensor Short
07 = Solar Load Sensor Open
08 = Solar Load Sensor Short
09 = Low Freon Detected
10 = UART Failure

Did you disconnect the battery? That always clears out any fault codes.
